Overview

Our commitment to your privacy

Mobile Eats Software LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates a website builder platform for food truck operators at mobileeats.food. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and share personal information—and what choices you have regarding that information.

This policy covers two groups of people: operators (food truck owners who create and manage a site through our platform) and visitors (members of the public who browse operator-published sites).

Data Collection

Information we collect

From operators (account holders)

  • Name and email address, provided at registration
  • Billing information — processed and stored by Stripe, Inc. We do not store full card numbers or sensitive payment data on our servers
  • Business content you provide — truck name, menus, schedule, photos, and page copy
  • Account activity — logins, settings changes, and feature usage within the admin panel

From visitors to operator sites

  • Basic server logs — IP address, browser type, and pages visited, retained for security and operational purposes
  • Session cookies used to maintain the browsing session (see Cookies section below)
  • Analytics and interaction data — pages visited, clicks, and anonymized session recordings, collected via PostHog to help us understand and improve the platform

From customers contacting operators

Each operator site includes a contact form that allows customers to send messages directly to that operator. When a customer submits this form, the message content — which may include name, email address, and any details the customer provides — passes through our servers and is delivered to the operator.

We act as a data processor in this context. The operator is the data controller responsible for how they handle and respond to customer messages. We do not use contact form submissions for any purpose beyond delivery, and we do not retain message content beyond what is necessary for reliable transmission.

From prospective users (lead forms)

  • First name, last name, and email address submitted through interest or contact forms

Use of Information

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the MobileEats platform
  • Process subscription payments and communicate billing-related information
  • Send product updates, feature announcements, and service notices
  • Respond to support requests and gather feedback
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your information for automated profiling or decisions that produce legal or significant effects on you.

Cookies & Tracking

Cookies and similar technologies

We use essential session cookies required for the platform to function — for example, to keep you logged in to the admin panel. We also use PostHog, a product analytics and session recording service, to help us understand how the platform is used and improve the product experience. PostHog may set cookies or use similar technologies to collect information about your interactions with our site, including pages visited, clicks, and anonymized session recordings. All form inputs are masked in session recordings — we do not capture keystrokes or field values.

We also use analytics tools on our marketing site and may use advertising pixels and similar tracking technologies from third-party platforms (such as social media and advertising networks) to measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns. These technologies may set cookies to track visits across sessions. We do not use advertising pixels within the operator admin panel.

Data Sharing

How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate the platform, and only to the extent necessary for those services:

Stripe, Inc.

Handles payment processing and subscription billing. Stripe's use of your data is governed by their own privacy policy.

Supabase

Provides our database and authentication infrastructure. Data is stored on Supabase-managed servers.

Hosting infrastructure

Our application runs on Fly.io. Server infrastructure may process your data as part of normal request handling.

PostHog

Provides product analytics and session recording to help us understand platform usage and improve the product. All form inputs are masked. PostHog's use of your data is governed by their own privacy policy.

Operators

When a visitor submits a contact form on an operator's site, that message is shared with the relevant operator. Operators are independently responsible for their handling of customer communications.

We may also disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of MobileEats, our operators, or the public.

Security

How we protect your information

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. These include encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and using established infrastructure providers with their own security practices.

No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we are committed to following industry-standard practices and responding promptly to any incidents.
